TECHNISOL ENVIRONNEMENT :: Remedial Work Supervision

Remedial Work Supervision

Contaminants present in soil and groundwater on a site usually necessitate corrective measures to bring levels of contaminants within established norms. Technisol Environnement looks at various methods when deciding the best course of action to take during site remediation. The choice depends on several factors, such as the physical constraints on the site, type of contamination, soil type, etc.

The most radical approach to remediation is without doubt the excavation of contaminated soils, which are then sent to an authorised facility. Soil can be separated and managed according to the degree of contaminants present.

This is done under the supervision of trained personnel, who ensure that accepted environmental standards are respected.

Soil and groundwater may also be treated on site (in a pile or in situ) by such methods as biodegradation, bioventing, biosparging, multi-phase extraction, soil washing, or chemical reduction treatment.

The client has the advantage of being offered a choice of remediation methods, and is thus able to opt for the method which best suits the client's needs. n
