TECHNISOL ENVIRONNEMENT :: Environmental Impact Studies

Environmental Impact Studies

An environmental impact study must be performed before undertaking any project which may have an impact on the environment. The area affected by the project must be carefully defined in order to delineate any environmental element at risk. This allows all the advantages of a project to be weighed against the disadvantages.

Technisol Environnement's qualified experts take a precise inventory of all plant and animal life which define the ecology of a given site. Their biologists and technicians take all physical and chemical characteristics into account and are thus able to explain the ecosystem which has developed.

Once the environmental receptors are defined and the impact on the ecosystem established, it is necessary to identify all reasonable measures which can be taken to reduce the environmental impact of a project.

Environmental impact studies are carried out according to specific guidelines set out in provincial and federal laws, according to the type of project and the applicable jurisdiction.
